Energy facility

Our facility can co-generate electricity, heat, and steam. Or generate each of these energy products separately. Exactly as required by the customer.

96.0% purity amorphous silicon dioxide

Thanks to a high specific surface area (140 to 160 m2/g) and a high concentration of silanol groups on the surface, the product is perfect for use in auto tire manufacturing (up to 30% of the mass of the protector).

Our prospective users of our technology

Cordiant OJSC, Nizhnekamskshina PJSC, Nokian Shina LLC, Michelin LLC

The quality of silicon dioxide produced by our facility matches or exceeds international competition and is one of the best products for use in tire manufacturing.

99.99% purity amorphous silicon dioxide

High-purity amorphous silicon dioxide is not produced in the Russian Federation and is 100% imported (4 to 5 thousand tons/year).

Toothpaste producers are the target market for the material.

Our technology supports two types of product: one with a specific surface area of 50 to 200 m2/g to be used in toothpaste as a mild abrasive; the other with a specific surface area of 200 to 650 m2/g to be used in toothpaste as a thickening agent.

Polycrystalline silicon

Polysilicon is used in photovoltaic panel manufacturing and in the production of electronic-grade monocrystalline silicon. Currently, there is no excess production capacity for solar grade poly-Si, while global photovoltaic panel manufacturing is growing at an accelerated rate.

The technology is developed by a company specially set up for this purpose,
Polysilicon High Technologies LLC.

PHT LLC is a Skolkovo resident.
In May 2016, a RUR5,000,000 grant was awarded to support the R&D effort.

The company’s team includes a research task force from the Chemistry Department

High-alumina cement from sunflower seed ash

Ash from facilities running on sunflower seed shells can be used in the production of fertilizers or dry construction mixes.

The ash consists of oxides of potassium, calcium, iron, aluminum and silicon. The pH and chemical composition of ash (alum, silicates and carbonates) make it suitable for the production of specialized high-aluminous cements (HAC) for use in the construction industry.

HAC is used in the construction of bridges, dams, and subway tunnels. The distinguishing feature of this cement is its short curing period (3 days against 28 days for standard cement). Virtually no such cements are produced in Russia, the country’s needs met with imports at prices from USD1/kg (cements of the GORKAL line).

Silicone Solutions for Paints & High Performance Coatings

Silicones provide long-lasting, cost-effective solutions for tough paint and coating challenges. Paints and coatings formulated with silicones can withstand some of the most challenging operating conditions and environments on earth.

Why silicones excel in high-performance coatings and decorative paints

  1. Silicones improve the durability of paints and coatings.
  2. Silicones resist corrosion, electrical discharge, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
  3. They are highly resistant to weathering and the sun’s UV rays.
  4. Silicones enhance gloss and color retention.
  5. Silicones are compatible with many organic resins and can be applied to almost any material or surface.
  6. Water-based, solid flake, and 100% silicone liquid silicones enable formulators to reduce the volatile organic content (VOC) of their formulations.

The silicone advantage

  • Greater life cycle savings and value
  • Lower cost in use
  • Increased productivity
  • Unique, high-value solutions
  • Reliable performance under challenging conditions

Silicones for paints and coatings come in many forms:

  • Solid flake, solventless liquid, and solid flake resins for formulating decorative paints and high-performance coatings
  • Elastomers for architectural coatings
  • Fluids, emulsions, and dispersions for use as problem-solving additives
We are ready to cooperate with all customers to provide a modified silicone used for the production of paints and coatings of a new generation.

For several years, SPF EEM has been fruitfully cooperating with the team at the Center “NANOCHEMISTRY AND NANOMATERIALS” of the Chemical Faculty of Moscow State University. With the support of leading scientists of the Faculty of Chemistry, using one of the most modern equipment parks in Russia, Russian technologies are created and brought to the world level. Unique equipment and highly qualified employees working on it are the key to the success of cooperation.
